三代同堂 – Under One Roof
A clubhouse for a townhouse development in Taipei’s neighbouring city Taoyuan gave us the opportunity to explore community in large scale developments. With each townhouse spacious enough to bring 3 generations under one roof the communal facilities needed to cater for all ages while proving space for both individual and collective gathering. The space was to be humble, inviting, and considered.

Spanning 1,000sqm across 4 levels the extensive facilities begin on ground floor where a communal library creates a meeting point for both visitors and residents. This floor reflects meeting and learning with the library providing space for both young and old to relax, learn, and share.
Level 1 is dedicated to wellness and play with gym and yoga facilities alongside ping pong rooms and a dedicated children’s playground. Level 2 is all about gathering and celebration providing an entertainment suite for family celebrations, games rooms with mahjong and billiards, a business suite come poker room for work and play, and twin karaoke suites for late night fun.
The rooftop promotes contemplation and relaxation offering a tai chi lawn for early morning exercise and a tea garden for afternoon reflection. A series of barbeque pods allow outdoor entertainment spaces for family and friends.
Taoyuan Clubhouse will provide a tailored experience for multi-generational families allowing 3 generations Under One Roof.
